The heated changing pad from Wumby is a smart solution for baby and parent! With Wumby your baby will be wonderfully warm, comfortable and safe after a bath or during changing. The heating element is in the middle of the pad, so that your baby’s body is heated from neck to bottom. Exactly where it is needed!

Priority number one in the development of Wumby was therefore safety.

The following measures have been taken to ensure that Wumby is a safe product:

• 12 volt (15 watt) low voltage system
• Thermostat ensures a maximum temperature of 37 degrees
• Thermal protection to prevent overheating and short circuiting
• Anti-slip bottom: the Wumby heated changing pad stays safely in place, even if your baby does not (anymore)!

The heating element in the Wumby heated changing pad uses only 0.015kWh of energy. But how much is that?

Suppose you use the Wumby heated changing pad for half an hour every day. After a year, you will have used only (assuming a kWh price of €0.40) a total of €1.09 in electricity.

The heating system in the Wumby heated changing pad is designed to reach the right temperature super fast. You don’t always have a lot of time when you’re busy with your baby. The Wumby heated changing pad reaches the right temperature after about one minute! And thanks to the built-in thermostat, you can be sure that the temperature will never get too high!

The Wumby heated changing pad is designed to warm your baby, not the air. So it may be that when you feel the pad with your hand, it seems as if the pad is not warm. By applying light pressure, you will notice that the heat slowly penetrates. So it is only when the Wumby heated changing pad is in use that the heating really comes into its own!

This is possible, but not necessary. The outer cover is wonderfully soft and easy to clean. But Wumby has a standard size, so in principle every changing pad cover fits around it. So you can choose whether you want to use a cover or not!

Yes, that’s right! The heating element is in the middle of the pad, so that your baby’s body is heated from neck to bottom, exactly where it is needed. Heating the edges of the pillow would only cause unnecessary energy consumption, because your baby will not lie there.

Warm baby wipes have, besides the fact that they are simply very nice to use (for both baby and parent!) three major advantages:

1. Warm wipes help prevent diaper rash because the pores remain open. This prevents dirt from being trapped in the pores.
2. Small babies often pee when they are startled by the cold wipes (loads of laundry!) By using warm wipes, you and your baby will no longer suffer from these shock pees!
3. If you use warm wipes, you only use half the wipes. After all, you also use warm water when you mop!

And as mentioned, warm wipes are simply nice to use!

No! By using a smart heating element that is placed at the top of the lid, the wipes are heated at low power. This means that the first 6-8 wipes are always nice and warm!

When you place a new pack of wipes in the wipe warmer, it only takes ten minutes for the first wipes to reach the right temperature. After this, the first 6-8 wipes are always nice and warm!

You can clamp a pack of baby wipes, using the elastics, against the bottom of the lid. Then you put the plug (candy length: 1 meter) in the socket. After about half an hour the wipes are nice and warm and ready to use!

With the Wumby wipe warmer you can set your own temperature between 40°C and 55°C. Depending on the season or the ambient temperature you can always choose a temperature that suits your preference (and that of your baby!)
